Cromer
Cromer is a typical English Seaside Town, first made popular as a holiday destination by the Victorians. It still maintains a lot of the olde world charm that the Victorians loved, and their influence can be seen in some of the buildings.
A walk along the promenade is wonderful way to pass the time. There is a colourful array of fishing boats, these can be seen early morning bringing in the catch.
Cromer Crab
There is an excellent selection of restaurants, coffee shops and places to eat. Fresh fish is, of course, readily available as is the famous “Cromer Crab”.
Cromer Pier
Cromer Pier is one of Country File’s top 10 piers, and one of only 5 in the country to have a theatre. The end of the pier show is certainly one of the most popular in the Country.
Cromer Carnival
Cromer is, of course, very famous for the Cromer Carnival. This spectacular event takes place over 2 weeks in August and is always packed.
Cromer comes alive during Carnival weeks and offers a wonderful selection of family events, competitions, shows, military displays, The Red Arrows always put on a show stopping display, all culminating in a wonderful firework display from the pier.
Discover Norfolk
For those wishing to venture slightly ‘further afield’, the wonderful Norfolk Broads are only a very short distance by car.
With miles of stunning riverside walks, or river trips. Boats are available to hire and there are numerous friendly pubs to moor at along the way for lunch.
The historic City of Norwich is only a very short drive and offers a very diverse selection of shops, from the extremely modern, to the more quirky individually fun shops. There is the Museum and of course the Castle to explore also, an extremely fun day out for all.
